In celebration of Pixar Animation Studio’s 20th anniversary, in 2006, and as part of its exhibition of Pixar animation art, MoMA presents a complete retrospective of the company’s theatrical shorts and features. In addition, Pixar and its partner, Walt Disney Pictures, have arranged for the donations of new 35mm prints of each titile to the Museum’s permanent film collection, this ensuring their continued preservation and exhibition as a theatical art form.

The series include every Pixar feature firlm release so far — Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters. Inc., Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles — as well as all the innovative short films (unfortunately I lost these shorts when my media hard drive died).

Pixar: 20 Years of Animation

If you are in NYC this time of the year make sure to stop at the MoMA to check out 20 Years of Animation by Pixar. This exhibit will appeal to those who enjoyed the imagery and plots of Toy Story, Monster’s Inc, and The Incredibles. As a bonus (I didn’t expect to see this) the exhibit includes artwork from the upcoming movie, Cars.
